Dismero Opening Party

On March 27th, over 200 fashionistas attended the premiere of Dismero at the Esquire Theater, just steps from the actual store at 50 E. Oak St. The blank canvas and white walls of the theater was the perfect set up for oversized images of screen icons like Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly set ablaze with Dismero's own beaming logo. For the occasion, owner and designer Andy D' Auria flew in from his Verona-base to celebrate the Chicago launch, the first and only U.S. location. D' Auria chose Chicago because of its, "beautiful architecture and close proximity to the lake."

Guests enjoyed Dismero's spring/summer collection that was showcased on 12 models as they descended Esquire's staircase and moved into the crowd. Known for their luxury sportswear, Factio definitely spotted some casual chic choices that we would love to sport, like the crisp white jackets and the crinkled metallic hoodie (that makes for easy, yet chic traveling).

The rain that evening was actually an asset, as four handsome men with umbrellas whisked guests to and from the store in style. The boutique's interior boasts beautiful, clean décor with whitewashed wood floors and white furnishings, a perfect offset for the contemporary clothing line.

Back at the theater, party goers enjoyed white wine and champagne and feasted on delectables from J & L Catering, such as duck confit with herb aioli and apricot chutney on a savory biscotti, smoked salmon over warm parmesan-leek gratin on a brioche round with onion relish, and fig, mascarpone and prosciutto bruschetta.

Guests left with gift bags including their very own Dismero tee-shirt and a Y-ME National Breast Cancer ribbon to remind them that 10% of the proceeds from Dismero from the week after the event will be donated to Y-ME's Illinois chapter.

Other Dismero store locations are in Verona, Italy and Munich, Germany, with a wholesale showroom in NYC. For more information about Dismero, please visit www.dismero.it.
