Opening night of Art Chicago 2009

Art Chicago specializes in showcasing historic and current works from cutting-edge contemporary artists to modern masters. Art Chicago 2009 was held May 1-4 at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, with special preview opportunities on April 30. The international art affair annually brings together the world’s principal rising and reputable galleries to feature a broad spectrum of media that includes painting, photography, drawings, prints, sculpture, video, and special installations. Art Chicago attracts prominent curators, gallerists, collectors, artists, and art enthusiasts from the art world during its five-day stay in the city. Opening previews and First Focus for Art Chicago took place on April 30.
