Once again, rumors that creative director of Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld is about to retire from the iconic fashion house have arisen in the fashion frenzied media. The rumor surfaced after a conspicuous fashion blogger claimed that big news concerning Chanel was about to break. In response, Chanel have released a statement to shush apparent rumors. "Karl Lagerfeld is the creative designer of Chanel and has a long-term contract with the company. Replacing him is not an issue," a Chanel rep said. The latest fabrication was that Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz would be replacing Lagerfeld, however, 76-year old style icon Lagerfeld famously said last year that he had every intention to die with his boots on while still working at Chanel.
