Louboutin Barbie Pumps

Barbie may be turning 50 but she will not be caught dead in orthopedic shoes. Barbie is still looking fabulous in stiletto heels.

Christian Louboutin is inspired by Barbie and her ability after all these years to still look fabulous. He is designing pumps that are Barbie Pantone 219 Pink in her honor. The "Barbie" pumps will make their debut at the special runway show that Mattel Inc. is putting on during New York Fashion Week. This special show will feature 50 mystery designers that will showcase collections inspired by Barbie throughout the years. Each model will be wearing Louboutin's "Barbie" pumps.

"I guess I always had a little 'girlie side' who liked Barbie," Louboutin said. "Barbie needs to wear great shoes because every girl needs to wear great shoes."
