Daphne Guinness to Launch Fragrance

Fragrance-focused socialite Daphne Guinness is set to release her debut scent Daphne this September 2009. Daphne has been in the works since Guinness reportedly first linked-up with Commes de Garçons Parfum back in 2007. The signature scent includes top notes of bitter orange, incense, and saffron and base notes of patchouli, oud, amber and vanilla. Rose centifolia, Tunisian jasmine, tuberose, and iris notes comprise the heart of the fragrance. The creative bouquet of notes and modern positioning of ingredients was inspired by Daphne Guinness’s early childhood memories and personal experiences. The fragrant woody notes were taken from Daphne’s recollections of the wood floors and furniture in her childhood home, while notes of oud tell of her mother’s frequent trips to the Middle East. Each engraved, rounded Daphne flacon is packaged in a lush velvet pouch inside a white and black carton made from linen book cloth. The parfum will retail for $150 for a 50 ml spray and launch worldwide September 18, 2009.
