The Rolling Stones In Gay Paree!
The Rolling Stones spend a day in Paris and posed for French photographer Jean-Marie Perier back in May of 1965. They were photographed in the middle of the iconic Champs-Elysees, while standing in front of the Arc de Triomphe. It's a place I am all to familiar with since i have photographeed and stepped on the same concrete grounds myself.
Perhaps I could've been mistaken for a Jagger look-a-like in those days. Who knows. But the actual members are seen strutting colored jackets with smart shirts and turtlenecks underneath. Of course, the look wouldn't be complete without the Mod hairstyles. The color palettes on these boys scream Fall/Winter.
Rolling Stones - "It's All Over Now" on French TV in 1964
Rare interview footage. Thanks to ABKCO, the company just released a deluxe and superdeluxe versions of "Get Yer Ya Ya's Out" on dvd. "At 2:32 You will see Jimi playing a guitar duet with Mick Taylor. At 5:50 You will be listening a conversation between Jimi Hendrix and Keith Richards, this is the only portion with the original audio. This is Jimi Hendrix celebrating his last birthday backstage with the Rolling Stones at the Madison Square Garden in New York City on November 27, 1969. Background music is "MY LITTLE ONE" recorded by Brian Jones, James Marshall H., Dave Mason and Mitch Mitchell studio recording at the Olympic Studios in London on October 5, 1967."
