We're back kiddas! Picking up where we left off this past Wedsneday (Including our favorite pick, Agnes b; as our choice as the best menswear collection for Fall 2011). As we've stated previously, fashion week Fall 2011 is exploding everywhere left and right. So we have decided to cover and to inform all you dedicated and darling followers of ours with official coverage from the shows. Note: The picture selections you see are our picks exclusively. There is obviously much more in the collection itself. But as always, I only select the pieces that speak to me, the ones that make me feel something from an expressionist point of view.
Next up, Topshop Fall 2011. According to fashion writer Lauren Sherman...
"An insane crowd of photogs swarmed around Anna Wintour when she arrived in her seat. Alexa Chung, Harley Viera Newton, and Pixie Geldof were an afterthought.
The girls were dressed up like 1930s elites crossed with Dalmatians. Some of them even had their noses painted like a puppy’s.
Bonus blind item: One of Wintour’s lackeys sat second row; kept complaining that she “shouldn’t be here.” Take a cue from the humble Vogue senior staff, honey–and get over yourself.
There were so many fantastic Dalmatian-printed goodies in the show–from shoes to clutches to sweatshirts.
Speaking of sweatshirts, we plan on wearing our favorite grey one under our black blazer–like the cool girls on the Topshop runway did–for the rest of winter.
The Topshop venue has the best. Food. Ever. (More on that later.)
