Carey Mulligan Is Set To Play Daisy Buchanan: Sounds Like A Magpies Paradise To Me!
Carey Mulligan is quite the modern day Grace Kelly. She has an airy wit to her that probably comes in handy when selecting the stellar film roles she's getting known for portraying. It doesn't hurt either that she's quite style juggernaut in her own right along with the rest of young Hollywood's elites.
Now, it's come to a huge surprise that Carey Mulligan beat out Blake Lively, another darling of ours here on itsnotyou, Amanda Seyfried, and even Scarlett Johansson, who were all in the running to play Daisy Buchanan in the remake of the classic, "The Great Gatsby". Leonardo DiCaprio’s is set to play Jay Gatsby as Tobey Maguire portrays Nick Carraway in Baz Luhrmann‘s directorial interpretation of the film. In case you kiddas didn't already know, in the 1970s film adapted screenplay, Mia Farrow played Daisy, while the handsome and always dashing Robert Redford played Gatsby with Sam Waterston playing Nick.
I can't even begin to imagine the costumes that will come shining through when this film is released!!!
Below is the classic and original trailer of "The Great Gatsby" released by Paramount in 1974 with director Francis Ford Coppola!
