Film: Hesher

After a two year film wrap, the film "Hesher" will finally see the light of day, with an April 2011 release. The drama filled indie flick stars the multi faceted, Natalie Portman alongside the equally powerful Joseph Gordon-Levitt's.

Again, although it was filmed back in 09', the movie has since glided its way onto thee Sundance circuit since its completion. The synopsis tells the story of Hesher (Joseph Gordon Levitt), who is a loner. "He hates the world and everyone in it. He has long greasy hair and homemade tattoos. He is malnourished and smokes a lot of cigarettes. He likes fire and blowing things up. He lives in his van, until he meets TJ."

Let me tell you kiddas one thing. This is a novelty story that never gets old. You sometimes find yourself walking aimlessly through this world, searching for a purpose. Than a stranger walks into your life, and your world is forever turned upside down. If you take these fleeting, or sometimes longer lasting experiences, and make them worth your while, you will most certainly manifest with greater wisdom and dignity.

Have A Very Merry Birthday Joseph Gordon-Levitt !

Joseph Gordon-Levitt was born on February 17, 1981. The dreamy-eyed actor, is best known for his career that spans for more than 20 years now (boy does that make me realize my own age). During which time he has worked in at least '24 feature films'.

From supporting roles in the 1999 film '10 Things I Hate About You' and as the star as Tom Hansen in '(500) Days of Summer'. Critically acclaimed roles in 2004's 'Mysterious Skin' and 2006's Brick', led this handsome young lad with a repertoire that is now finally being described as "one of the most interesting leading men in independent film, a thoughtful performer, simultaneously outspoken and introverted, who adapts to playing characters at war with themselves and the world."

Vanity Fair's: Hollywood Issue Has Arrived

Jake Gyllenhaal, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ryan Reynolds, Anne Hathaway, Olivia Wilde and James Franco, amongst several others, strutted their best vintage old hollywood looks on the cover of Vanity Fair’s 17th annual Hollywood Issue. You may recall last year's Vanity Fair New Hollywood issue Kiddas?

Well this special issue, we can obviously tell that the magazine went for a more authentic feel. "Vanity Fair went back to the basics - no teenagers, no penguins, no (full-on) nudity, just the most exciting actors and actresses of the moment.” Said the famous publication.

We agree fully. Sometimes that's all you need. Minimal speaks louder in volumes on certain occasion. The infamous three-page foldout, which was shot on the west and east coast in both LA and NYC. The rest of the line-up features Robert Duvall, Jennifer Lawrence, Anthony Mackie,Andrew Garfield, Jesse Eisenberg, Mila Kunis, Rashida Jones, Garrett Hedlund, and Noomi Rapace.

“We wanted to evoke the glamour of 1930s Shanghai, an era of smoky, alluring elegance,” spoke VF fashion director Jessica Diehl. “We had the gentlemen looking dashing in black tie, whilst the ladies were radiant in spring’s gowns - from Gucci to Yves Saint Laurent - and glittering with diamonds from Chanel and other arbiters of glamour.”
