It Happened One Night
Under the Hollywood stars is where it all happens. We all know by now and are completely ecstatic for Chris Colfer's Best Supporting win at The Golden Globes but it's Anne Hathaway's new casting on a future episode of Glee that's got us going wild.
Confirmed by co-creator Ryan Murphy, Anne is slated to portray Chris Colfer's lesbian aunt. Sounds better and better as the news continues to unravel huh kiddas. The actual casting happened during last night’s Golden Globes apparently. Ryan Murphy gives a clear understanding on how it all happened..."She walked by our table. We have a mutual friend and I said, "Do you really want to do it?" Where Anne replied, 'I do.' And I said, ‘OK, we’re gonna do it.’”
Done and done. Through the complexities and theatrical effects that is Hollywood, we sometimes forget, mutual admiration and the simple know-how of networking, goes a long way in this sometimes fleeting industry. Take note. This coming from me, someone who knows what it's like to attend various casting calls and have a simple "know-how" attitude when it comes to working hard for what I want.
Prime example right below. Again, like we stated before, we're thrilled for Colfer's win. Though reports are spewing, "Is his character or performance the best on television?" Perhaps it may not be the cream of the crop. But who ever wins recognition when they really deserve it most? We have to just nod and agree with Miss Joy Behar on this one, as she responded to all naysayers out there with a rousing, 'Who cares?!'
Despite it all, Colfer gave the sweetest and most moving speech at last night's shin dig (besides the lovely 'Black Swan' herself who took home Best Actress). Right after his win, Chris was caught saying, "I really hope the LAPD lets me off with a warning tonight, because I’m gonna go crazy." Dig it below.
Awww yes. In image that warms my heart. From one of our favorites congratulating another favorite. Modern Family's Julie Bowen hugs Chris backstage.
