Vogue: Out With the Old and In With the Nude?

Rumors have been a buzzin' over the resurfacing talk of Vogue's editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour's, demise. Although Vogue interns have most likely been rejoicing over the rumors, it's difficult to determine if the Devil Wears Prada real-life Miranda Priestly has any truth. These rumors have been running rampant off and on for the past few years. Although within the last few months, they have been speculated to actually be true.

If Anna's on the outs, then whose in line for the coveted role of the new editor-in-chief? Well, it's been said that Russian Vogue's, Aliona Doletskaya, may be. But that rumor was squashed almost immediately. So in comes Carine Roitfeld, who everyone of course knows is the well-known stylist turned editor-in-chief for Paris Vogue. Carine has been known for bringing nudity, sensuality and sexuality to the pages of PV and also for her effortless style. Although this rumor, I'd like to say, can quickly be dispelled due to Carine's love for Paris Vogue.

So how will we find out the truth? Time. Well, that can take too long. So how about we ask the head chairman of Conde Nast, Si Newhouse. In recent statements through a spokesperson Si said, “there’s no truth to it.” He also said, “This is the silliest rumor I ever heard." Its quite possible that these comments are simply because the editor-in-chief shake-up is still in the works. But for now, I guess we'll just have to go by Si's comments.
