12 minutes of Robyn at the Nobel Peace Prize concert



On her home turf Robyn performed at the Oslo Spektrum in Norway for the Nobel Peace Prize concert. The event which was hosted by Denzel Washington and Anne Hathaway who also introduced Robyn to the Norway audience.

OSLO, NORWAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2010 – Nobel Peace Prize Concert organizers announced today that world-renowned artists Barry Manilow, Jamiroquai, A.R. Rahman and India.Arie have been added to the show’s eclectically global musical lineup.

The Concert will also feature performances by Florence + the Machine, Herbie Hancock, Robyn, Elvis Costello, Colbie Caillat and Sivert Høyem. Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington will host the 17th annual event on Saturday,
December 11th in Oslo, Norway at the Oslo Spektrum arena. Washington’s co-host will be announced in coming weeks.

This year’s Nobel Peace Prize Concert will honor laureate Liu Xiaobo, for what the committee calls “his long and non-violent struggle for fundamental human rights in China.” The award is given annually to an individual or organization whose work exemplifies a spirit of hope and leadership that will help promote peace in the world.

The Concert is presented by the Nobel Peace Prize Concert AS and broadcast to a worldwide audience. The Nobel Peace Prize is the most prestigious award in the world, honoring icons such as Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Mikhail Gorbachev, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Barack Obama, Kofi Annan, Al Gore and other remarkable individuals and organizations. For the past sixteen years, the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony has been followed the next day by the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, a musical celebration honoring the laureate.
