1960's Party
It's no secret that i'm an inevitably fascinated and strongly influenced by 1960s culture. Now, one could only imagine the magnificent Dinner Parties that were thrown such as the one in the photo above.
The 1960s saw the fashion industry experience a huge evolution, from the classicism of the early 60s (still influenced by the style guidelines of the 50s) to the joyous and ecletic fashions of the late 60s (new styles happened. hem lines went up, the hippie effect on clothes took effect, along with bold and popping colors). However it can be said that the mid 60s provided somehow a balance in fashion.
Below a scene from a dinner party held in the mid 60s in which we can see what were the trends back then for both men & women.
An all-time favorite film here at itsnotyouitsme, "The Party".
Gert Wilden "I told you not to cry" A mod-swinging,groovy 1960s party scene below. Dig it kiddas!
